The science of animal nutrition has developed since the 1950s to ensure the health, growth, and productive performance of animals, thanks also to the widespread use of antibiotics, not only as a method of treating specific pathologies, but as ingredients in balanced diets and for preventive purposes.
Since then, the scientific community and farmers have observed the development of antibiotic-resistant bacterial strains, a threat to both animal and human health.
Driven by awareness of the risks associated with prolonged use of antibiotics and knowledge of the beneficial properties of esterified fatty acids, archena has developed safe and effective alternatives, using both virgin raw materials and products derived from industrial food and oleochemical processing (circular economy).
Through extensive research and experiments, we have refined formulas using glyceride esters of short- and medium-chain fatty acids, optimized to maximize their absorption and efficacy. The result is a series of innovative products that not only improve animal health and well-being, but also offer a concrete solution to reduce, and eventually eliminate, the use of antibiotics in livestock farming.
